Unit 8: Delivery prices

What is the “delivery price”?

It is what you charge the restaurant (or client) for each delivery. You set it, not Circle. It is worked out when the order is created and stays on it, and the driver does not see it.

1) The company’s default price

1. From “Delivery prices” (the “Money” group) → “Default price”.
2. Under “Default delivery price” type the price in Egyptian pounds, like 25 or 25.50 (up to two digits after the point).
3. Press “Save price”.

This price applies to every client without a price of their own.

2) An own price for one client

1. Open the client’s page from “Clients (restaurants)”.
2. Under “Delivery price” press “Own price for this client” and type the price.
3. To remove it press “Remove the own price and use the default”. Existing orders keep their price, and new ones take the default price.

3) Prices by area (an optional feature)

Useful if your price differs by where the order goes. From “Prices by area and price lists”:

1. Areas: type the area name then “Add area”. You can “Hide from orders” any area and show it again.
2. Price lists: “New price list” → the list name, then type each area’s price in it. One is “the default list” of the company.
3. Linking clients: on the client’s page choose their “Price list”, or “None (the default list)”.

How does the system choose the price?

In order, and the first that applies is used:

1. The client’s own price (always the strongest).
2. The area’s price on the client’s list.
3. The area’s price on the company’s default list.
4. The company’s default price.

Who sees prices?

Prices are a separate permission: “See prices” and “Change prices”. The dispatcher and support do not see them. If a dispatcher wants to create an order for a client with no price, “Ask a manager to set a price for the client” shows.
