Training guide

Unit 15: Hands-on exercise: a whole working day in an hour

You need: a computer for the console, and two phones (one for the driver and one to try the client’s role), or one phone you switch on.

Part 1: setting the company up (units 2 to 5)

  1. Sign your trial company up, confirm your email and sign in to the console.
  2. From “Settings” change your password, and turn on two-step sign-in (and keep the recovery codes).
  3. Set “The company’s time zone”.
  4. Open “Subscription and payments” and look at the packages and the wallet tiers. Do not choose now: just make sure you understand what it shows.
  5. From “Employees” add a dispatcher. Sign in with them from another browser and make sure they do not see prices or “Subscription and payments”.

Part 2: prices and team (units 6 to 8)

  1. Set the default price for delivery from “Delivery prices”.
  2. Add a driver with a real mobile number you have. Install Fleet Agent on it, sign in and choose a password.
  3. Create an invitation code with one use. Then from the second phone open the client app and sign up with it as a “Restaurant or shop” with a branch that has an address.
  4. Back in the console, open “Clients” and accept the new client.
  5. Give this client an own price different from the default.

Part 3: a day of orders (units 9, 12 and 13)

  1. In the driver’s app: “Check in and start shift”.
  2. From the client’s app send an order with an order value of 100 and cash to collect 100.
  3. On the board: see it in the “New” column, open it and make sure the delivery fee is the own price.
  4. Assign the order to the driver, and watch it appear in “With a driver”.
  5. In the driver’s app: “Accept order” → “Picked up” → “Delivered” with 100.
  6. In the client’s app: follow the steps and see the state “Delivered”.
  7. Create a second order from “New order” in the console, then cancel it before pickup. Then create a third, send it, and have the driver press “Could not deliver” and write a reason.
  8. Try the internet dropping on the driver’s phone: turn the internet off, press a step, turn it back on, and watch it sent once.

Part 4: the money (units 10 and 11)

  1. In “Driver cash”: see what they “Collected” and what they “Hold now”. Record receiving 100 from them.
  2. In “Restaurant accounts” choose “Today” and arrange the numbers: order value, delivery fees, “Net to the client”.
  3. In “Balances and weekly statements”: open the client’s statement and record “a payment to the client” of the net. Make sure the balance became zero.
  4. From the client’s app open “Statement” and compare it with the console.
  5. From “Driver pay” choose how pay is worked out (say “Both”), review “Drivers’ earnings”, record a payment, then open the tab “Pay” in the driver’s app.
  6. Download an Excel file from “Orders report”, then open the “Change log” and look for your download.

Part 5: the subscription (units 3 and 4)

  1. Before the trial ends: work out your number of drivers and expected orders a month, and choose a package or a wallet tier by unit 3.
  2. Read the tier’s terms in full, tick the agreement and then choose.
  3. Pay the first invoice or top up the wallet online, and look at “Payment history”.
